About me

My name is Zeshan (She/Her(s)) and I know what it is like to be called “too white” “too fobby” “too American” or be told that I “think I’m black.” I understand what it is like to struggle with living in two worlds and to feel like I have to adjust to the environment I am in like a chameleon. I am a first-generation, South Asian American “spiritual but not religious” “brown” person who was raised Muslim within an intergenerational household on the East Coast of the United States.

Do you tote around a mini bottle of hot sauce in your purse? Has the weight of family expectations and living within dominant culture taken its toll on your well-being and eroded your sense of self? I work with Women of Culture who overgive to the point of exhaustion and who seek to be seen and valued for who they really are. I support my clients to get their energy back and integrate all of who they are so they can reclaim their vibrancy and power and live a fully expressed life.

My clients seek to belong but don’t quite fit into mainstream society. As a result they carry family, racial, and cultural trauma and unhealed grief. My clients are also often great at supporting others but have a hard time advocating for their own needs. They have plateaued in talk-therapy and come to me seeking a body-based approach to heal.

If you’re ready to: know your worth, feel empowered, discover and define who you really are and what you want apart from what your family or society tells you, stop the burn-out cycle and develop healthy relationships, and explore new and more liberating ways of showing up in the world:
