About me

Hi, I’m Zehra! I have experience working with children (kindergarten to pre-adolescents), teens, adults, couples, and families in the DC school setting. I support my clients in addressing anxiety, trauma, depression, identity development, life transitions, relationship challenges, and more, as well as better understanding neurodivergence and challenges around executive functioning. My approach is centered on understanding your unique goals and pacing our work together—recognizing that therapy is not a one-size-fits-all journey. I aim to meet you where you are and facilitate growth through psychoeducation in our sessions.

I strongly believe in the power of personal narratives, and I’m here to remind you that you always have the agency to reframe yours! I use a client-centered and strengths-based perspective. I am committed to fostering a nurturing setting where you feel you can be yourself.

I’m here to provide a warm, safe space where we can explore your thoughts, feelings, and actions, and draw connections to your past, and even inner child. My therapeutic style is authentic, collaborative, and empowering. Come as you are—I can’t wait to meet you!
