About me

***Currently accepting new teletherapy clients from anywhere in Texas!***

Welcome. My name is Vikash, and I am a Clinical Social Worker licensed to practice in the state of Texas. My experience has been primarily as an advocate, therapist, and case manager for POC and minority populations, including south Asian survivors of domestic and sexual violence, LGBTQIA+ struggles, and various other related issues. My approach is primarily humanistic with aspects of systems theory and gestalt psychotherapy– the therapeutic space that is created will be one of mutual collaboration, to help work towards, or help understand, those aspects of your life that motivated you to seek therapy. I embrace a client-centered approach of unconditional positive regard, combined with a desire to empower your motivation to help you get to what your desired clinical outcomes are. As a second-generation South Indian, I have extensive personal and professional experience with model minority stressors, cultural trauma, immigration abuse, religious abuse, and various other struggles common for those that identify as a minority in America. My goal is to help create a validating space that encourages self-exploration, understanding, self-love, and an innate ability to embrace all of who you are – even when that can be the hardest thing to do.
