About me

Are you a British Asian or South Asian seeking a therapist who truly understands your experiences? I offer a culturally informed, confidential space where your background is respected and you don’t need to explain yourself repeatedly. Many clients face family expectations, intergenerational conflicts, or the pressure of navigating different cultures.

You might have grown up hearing, “What will people think?” and feel that seeking support isn’t necessary. However, if you’re dealing with anxiety, burnout, low mood, relationship issues, or identity confusion, therapy can help you be yourself and address these challenges for a meaningful change.

What sets me apart?

As someone from a South Asian background, I have both personal and professional insights into the diasporic experience. I’m fluent in Gujarati, Hindi, and English, allowing me to connect with clients in those languages.

Having lived and worked across India, Australia, Singapore, and the United States, I understand the challenges of navigating different cultures and the feeling of competing expectations.

Before becoming a counsellor, I spent over 20 years in management consultancy, financial services, and telecommunications, gaining insight into workplace pressures and the struggles of balancing disparate identities at work and home.

I spent over 20 years in management consultancy, financial services, and telecommunications. This experience has provided me with first-hand insight into workplace pressures, the invisible burden of striving for high achievement, and the specific challenges that arise when your identity at work differs from your identity at home.

Who do I work with?

I welcome clients of all South Asian backgrounds, including Indian, Pakistani, Bangladeshi, Sri Lankan, and East African Asian communities. I am committed to non-discriminatory practice and welcome clients of all identities, cultures, faiths, genders, and sexual orientations, as well as those with health conditions or disabilities.
