About me

About Me

I offer a safe space for my clients, help them identify their core values, and bring awareness to their thoughts and behaviors.  My role, as a therapist, is to guide and support clients through difficult decisions, to help them reach their full potential.  I believe that people can overcome all obstacles and reach a place of peace and happiness by instilling belief in themselves.

As a South Asian, I value competence in multicultural therapy practices. Growing up with Eastern values and merging that with Western philosophies in early adulthood taught me to appreciate the importance of having an open mind and be accepting. I also understand the struggles of balancing the two and finding your true self within. In my sessions, culture plays an essential role in establishing an alliance.

My specialty includes treating adults and adolescents with stress, anxiety, depression, lifestyle changes and body image issues through a multicultural lens.  I also counsel couples struggling with conflict resolution, poor communication, and trust issues by helping them understand how their personal life experiences shape how they manage their relationship with their partner(s).

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, I am highly skilled in Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Applied Behavior Analysis,  and Mindfulness for individual psychotherapy.  My client base include neurotypical as well and neurodivergent clients.  For couples, I utilize a personalized approach, while utilizing principles of Emotionally Focused Therapy to help clients identify their negative patterns and establish a more honest and trusting bond.
