I operate from a holistic, intersectional, culturally sensitive and anti-oppressive approach, cognizant of the various factors impacting an individual. I draw on various therapeutic interventions, such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution Focused Therapy, which I tailor to meet the needs of the client.
As a member of the South Asian community, I recognize the courage that it takes to access counselling services and to be vulnerable, considering that the stigma of reaching out for mental health support is strongly present in many cultures. As a result, I strive to provide a safe, inclusive, and comforting space for each client.
