I am a Bangladeshi-American psychotherapist trained at Smith College, and my primary goal in therapy is to help you live a life that deeply aligns with your truest self. Having lived in both Bangladesh and the US, I know firsthand the struggle of feeling as if we are “too much” or “too little” of the identity we are often expected to embody. As a queer woman of color who grew up in predominantly homogeneous spaces, I strongly believe in the importance of not just allowing, but also encouraging and celebrating the full expression of our nuanced and glorious selves.
I primarily work with young adults and professionals to help resolve issues in your romantic connections, work through evolving dynamics with your family, and cultivate a sense of belonging that withstands the pressure of a productivity-oriented culture. I also work with those exploring alternative relationship structures outside monogamy and always aim to provide a gender and trans-affirming environment.
Through using a psychodynamic and emotionally-focused approach, we will work towards identifying the values, dreams, and goals that deserve to be the priority again. I aim to always provide treatment through an intersectional, feminist, and multicultural lens that centers your humanity. Schedule a consultation with me to see if I’m the right fit for your needs. I am looking forward to supporting you in paving a life’s path that is genuinely grounded, connected, and joyful.
