About me

I help young adults (20s and 30s) with anxiety, depression and trauma. In addition, I love working with those from multicultural backgrounds, particularly from South Asia.

I was born in New Delhi, India and speak Hindi, so I can do my sessions in English or Hindi. I’m licensed to practice in Washington, D.C., Maryland and Virginia, providing teletherapy and in-person therapy.

Even though I draw on a variety of therapeutic approaches, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-informed therapy and psychodynamic psychotherapy, I always tailor my approach to my client’s specific needs.

Having grown up in Montgomery County, Md., I attended the University of Maryland for my undergraduate degree in psychology. Later, I received my masters degree in social work from Columbia University in New York. More recently, I completed training in trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT).

Prior to joining DC Talk Therapy, I worked at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Md., and in a group practice in Northern Virginia.
