You are a “hyphenated” American, living on the dash between two cultures that are often at odds. Your bicultural identity has admirable strengths: openness, appreciation for people from all different walks of life, and resiliency, to name a few. However, celebrating your bicultural identity can be tough when you face conflicting messages from two different cultures, varying familial expectations, and an unrelenting desire to succeed in the dating, mating, occupational, and parenthood arenas. You desire to make independent choices while also respecting your commitment toward your family and loved ones. All of this entails you loving and respecting all of you: your bicultural identity, your dreams, goals, owning your story, letting go of ego story, and showing up in your own life.
I can help. I help women feel empowered to own their story so they become their next chapter.
As an Asian Indian – American, I know the challenges and the successes that occur when we embrace our bicultural identities both personally and professionally. Combining Western Psychology with Eastern Spirituality has equipped me to offer clients rich expertise as we work together toward integration, understanding, healing, and fulfillment.
I hold a Doctorate in Psychology (PsyD) and have concentrations in Child and Family, and Multicultural Studies.
I exclusively provide telehealth therapy services to New York residents using a secure, HIPAA-compliant video conferencing platform.
I look forward to learning about you and helping you make empowering choices you are proud of!
