I am a graduate student therapist working toward a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy specializing in Couple Therapy from Northcentral University. Presently, I am offering therapy to individuals, couples and families.
My lived experience of being a South Asian immigrant allows me to connect with those with multicultural issues in a relationship, adjustment issues, immigration-related stress, divorce, infidelity, etc. I also provide therapy regarding trauma, anxiety, depression, mood disorders, and borderline traits. I am an ally to diverse populations and LGBTQ+ individuals and couples, and maintain a trans-affirming perspective. Although I have lived experience of being a minority, I am well diverse and experienced in working with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
I believe that many life experiences, situations, and events, whether internal or external, can affect one’s well-being. Processing these emotional experiences alone can be terrifying. Thus, my goal is to provide my clients a non-judgmental, collaborative and empathic space while taking immense pride in being a co-creator and assisting individuals and couples in becoming their best version.
I plan to complete extensive specialized training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and The Gottman’s Method.
My supervisor is Michele Mulcahy and her license number and details are listed below. For more information visit www.clearcouselingaz.com
