My practice is informed very much by the intersectionality of my varied social identities of being a woman of color, in addition to being an immigrant, specifically, from the South Asian community. This multicultural identity has provided me a life full of experiences touched by privilege as well as oppression. My personal and professional experiences, through this world-view, enables me to connect with clients in a truly authentic and empathic fashion to build strong therapeutic relationships, and in turn my cultural humility on a daily basis. This therapeutic relational piece is the key to my clients’ progress in their mental health and trauma recovery.
Through my own mental health journey, I have learned the value of a non-judgmental, safe space in order to realize that you are more than your past experiences. I employ a trauma-informed approach across various evidence-based treatment modalities, uniquely tailored to your needs.
If this resonates with you, please reach out to me today so we can begin working towards your holistic well-being. We will incorporate new skills to move past hardships, while gently undoing any self-defeating patterns. I welcome you as you are!
