I am passionate about working with people who desire to learn, reflect, and grow–even if it’s hard to find the motivation or energy to do so. Their goals are to work through their current situation by building skills and developing insight together. We often seek therapy when things are not going well only to realize it is a tool that can help us reach our goals no matter the circumstance. I am a firm believer that taking the step to care for your mental health will undoubtedly change so many aspects of your life, and I hope to provide support as you continue to build your skills and work toward your goals.
I take a strengths-based and person centered approach. My goal is to utilize my skills to create a plan that suits your individual needs, strengths, and goals. I have extensive experience working with individuals who have experience trauma. In addition to this, I have been trained in CBT, ACT, DBT, as well as mindfulness and somatic based practices. My technique focuses on individuals as a whole–the intersectionality of your identities, beliefs, and values and how best to work on your goals within your personal framework.
I hope to meet you where you’re at and help you build on your strengths and develop new skills to work toward your personal goals. No matter what stage you are in in your life, there is always room to grow. Growth is not always easy, and rarely painless, but being here is the first step in a process I hope to work through with you.
