I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) and a member of the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC). I hold a Master of Counselling Psychology degree from Adler University.
I utilize a person-centred and culturally informed approach to therapy. In my opinion, the client-therapist relationship predicts therapeutic outcomes. That said, I focus heavily on building a strong therapeutic relationship that involves empathy, respect, authenticity, and positive regard for my clients. I aim to create a non-judgmental environment where my clients feel accepted, heard, understood, and safe to share their concerns openly. I also integrate evidence-based modalities to address my client’s unique needs, worldviews, interests, and goals. My mission is to work alongside my clients in a culturally sensitive manner to support them as they reach their goals and thrive in their healing journeys by collaboratively finding effective tools and strategies to help manage the impact of their presenting issues.
I’m providing in-person and online counselling in both English and Punjabi for individuals facing various challenges, including but not limited to depression, anxiety, stress, self-esteem issues, interpersonal conflict, and grief and loss. You can contact me via email or phone to book a session. I also offer a free 15-minute consultation to see if we’re a good fit.
I look forward to speaking with you!
