I am excited to offer counseling and therapy to adults and teenagers. With my Indian upbringing along with extensive work in the field of violence and trauma both in India and the United States, I bring to the table a unique perspective and strive to create a judgement-free, positive and professional counselling environment.
My practice includes trauma-informed care and is infused with mindfulness techniques. My special emphasis is on counseling individuals struggling to establish and/or maintain mental health and wellness. I’ve often found that the individuals struggling with trauma in their lives experience high rates of depression, anxiety, and mood disorders. I’ve also found that especially people of South Asian descent often struggle with finding therapists that look and speak like them.
I use a variety of methods like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, EMDR, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy among others to help my clients establish and maintain a stable and peaceful mental well-being.
