About me

Therapy, I believe, is a collaborative process through which I work with clients to progress toward well-being and an authentic engagement with life. As we address therapy goals that may involve reducing distress caused by symptoms, dealing with acute or longer term issues, or old patterns that are holding you back from growth, I listen for your voice, and seek to empower you to take ownership of your life and its direction. I strive to create a safe, accepting environment, where we work toward ameliorating distress, enhanced self-understanding, healthier choices, and living a more mindful, valued life.

My approach to psychotherapy is integrative, I apply cognitive-behavioral, relational-cultural, and psychodynamic perspectives in therapy. Always maintaining awareness of your relational patterns, sociocultural context, and intersecting identities and roles in our work. Clients experience me as compassionate, warm, genuine, direct and effective.
