About me

My approach to therapy is to get to know you, the client, first in order to hear your narrative and help identify themes that pop up and contribute to how you think, feel, behave, and interact today. We then discuss the best way for you to move forward.

I use an integration of different modalities to help me better understand the person in front of me. These modalities allow me to think with more flexibility and not fit into a square, instead hearing you as your own person. They also allow me a way in to help make our process together more experiential and to help us better understand what comes up for you, how this affects your current narrative, and how to transform your narrative to move in the direction you want to move in.

Modalities may include: Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Sensorimotor Psychotherapy (SP), along with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and a few other skills-based interventions combined with psychodynamic approaches.

In Person

I am a trauma therapist that use my trainings to make things very individualistic.

In addition to all kinds of traumas, I work with relational/attachment/developmental trauma or wounds, identifying earlier patterns that had emerged and still affect the present day. Together we look at what you have internalized, and how you adapted to the past that may be hurting you in the present. Then collaboratively, we look at what changes can you make for the present to improve the quality of your life.

I do work with adult children of immigrants, with depression/anxiety, feelings of shame, and loneliness.
