About me

Hello! I’m a therapist at Olive Branch Therapy Group and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). I received my undergraduate and graduate degree from Rutgers University. I’ve been in practice since 2014.

Since young childhood, I have always strived to help others. I believe that there is no one more deserving of compassion than yourself. I believe that a sense of feeling heard, being validated, and understood, goes a long way in the healing process and I have always wanted to be that support for others.

Coming from Bangladeshi background, I deeply understand and respect the South Asian and Middle Eastern religions and cultures. I can relate to the struggles and hardships that immigrant parents and children face. I am here to listen , support and help you heal. Allow me the chance to walk with you through your life journey.

Specialities

I specialize in working with kids, adolescents, and adults dealing with:

Anxiety, depression, identity struggles, relationship issues, life transitions, self-esteem, anger-management, grief, and concerns of immigrant and immigrant children.
I also have a particular interest in working with those who struggle with issues related to spirituality, religion and culture. Being a child of a first-generation immigrant and from the South Asian community, I truly understand and respect the South Asian and Middle Eastern religions and cultures.

My style of therapy is warm, client-centered, solution focused approach that is strengths based. I utilize CBT and talk therapy. I seek to form a collaborative therapeutic relationship in order to create a positive, safe and non-judgmental environment.
