About me

Hello, I’m Sarah, a Clinical Mental Health Counseling Intern, and New York native with a rich cultural background. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Pace University and am currently pursuing my master’s in Mental Health Counseling at New York University (NYU). If you are struggling with loneliness and a lack of fulfillment, I can help. I offer therapy to individuals and couples, specializing in anxiety, trauma, and career counseling. Being multilingual in English, Hindi, and Urdu, I am committed to helping people from diverse communities.

With over six years of experience in consulting and marketing, I excelled in crafting engaging campaigns and connecting with diverse audiences. However, my desire for more meaningful work led me to volunteer to support trauma survivors, which ignited my passion for mental health counseling.

This newfound purpose drove me to pursue a Master of Arts in Counseling for Mental Health & Wellness at NYU. As a first-generation South Asian American, I have a nuanced understanding of the unique challenges and cultural dynamics faced by individuals growing up as brown kids in the US. This perspective allows me to empathize deeply with clients from similar backgrounds and offer culturally sensitive support.

I believe in tailoring my approach to meet the unique needs of each individual. By incorporating evidence-based techniques such as attachment theory, mindfulness, strength-based methods, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) person-centered therapy, and, psychodynamic therapy, I aim to provide a safe and supportive environment where you feel heard, understood, and empowered. Together, we’ll uncover the best strategies for you and develop practical skills to navigate life’s uncertainties with confidence.

My journey from marketing and consulting to mental health counseling highlights my dedication to making a meaningful impact in the lives of others. I offer low-fee counseling services to ensure that quality mental health care is more accessible. I look forward to supporting your journey towards healing and growth.
