About me

Hello, I’m Sarah. As a British Asian woman, born, brought up and educated in London, I have a deep-rooted understanding and personal experience of the rich cultural diversity that exists within the South Asian community and beyond.

Sometimes life can feel difficult and speaking to friends or family is not enough. Having a therapist who understands our background and frame of reference, can be a more empowering and fulfilling experience in our journey. I understand how the intricate layers of our cultural identities (race, ethnicity, religion, gender, class etc) can shape our personality development and create challenges and conflict in many aspects of our lives.

As a certified couples and relationship counsellor, I have specialist training in areas including relational conflict, communication problems, cultural difference, infidelity, emotional and physical disconnection and intimacy issues.

I also recognise that each of us is unique, with our own, individual lived experience and story. I will do my best to listen to your story, to understand and help you navigate the complexities of your unique experiences, creating a therapeutic space that respects and embraces your individuality.

My approach

I have advanced training in Transactional Analysis (TA) therapy with an Intersectional lens. This Integrative model combines several approaches (Psychodynamic, Attachment theory, Relational, Person-centred, Humanistic and CBT therapies) and is a powerful framework that helps uncover patterns of communication and behaviour. With my training and expertise, I can help you to identify and understand your emotional and behavioural patterns.

My approach is deeply relational – I passionately believe in the power of a strong and collaborative therapeutic relationship, and that healing begins within the safety and trust of this relationship.

What to expect

Embarking on the path of self-discovery and healing is a courageous step. In our sessions, we will work together to identify and address the challenges you face. We can explore how your past experiences may be influencing your present, and work together to create positive change.Whether it’s navigating relationships, managing stress, or exploring your identity, my goal is to support you on your journey towards self-discovery and resilience.

I offer an initial free 20 minute consultation.
