About me

I entered the counseling field with the intention to make counseling more accessible and relatable to immigrants and second-generation Americans. As the daughter and spouse of South Asian immigrants, I recognized our communities have a dire need for therapists of a similar ethnic, racial, or religious background.

I see counseling as a journey toward wellness, healing, and empowerment. As a counselor, I am your companion for the journey, providing support, compassion, and empathy as we work together.

I practice using an eclectic approach, often relying heavily on psychodynamic and person-centered therapies. I am also trained in EMDR. When working with my clients, I take a strength-focused approach: fostering resilience, embracing healthy coping skills, and learning to manage stress while using mindfulness. I also advocate for nurturing self-love, prioritizing self-care, and authenticity.
