About me

I became a therapist because, just like you, I am human and have had my fair share of battles. It took a long time for me to get to where I am today. I became a therapist because, in moments of hopelessness, it is hard to find determination. I became a therapist because I saw the stigma that is still associated with mental illness. I became a therapist to help others because depression can be scary, anxiety can be overwhelming, and traumatic experiences can leave one feeling exhausted.

While using various therapy approaches and modalities, in order to tailor treatment to your specific needs, I also draw from the Biopsychosocial Model which looks at the mind and body connection. This approach allows me to work with my clients and help heighten awareness to their body in the connection to their emotion, through talk therapy. This holistic therapeutic approach alongside other modalities, allows us to explore how thoughts, beliefs and feelings can impact our physical health, and similarly, how physical or social factors can affect our mental and emotional state. You can read more about the various therapy approaches and modalities I use, on my website: www.lifecyclecounselling.com.

I hope to accompany you on your journey, whether it is a process of self-understanding, self-exploration, managing changes in life, or simply just needing a safe space to gather your thoughts and feel empowered. Having been a client myself, and a therapist later, the process of healing can be a rewarding experience for both, the client and the therapist. I want to walk alongside you in this journey. I want you to feel heard, relevant, connected, and valued. Our lives can be full of meaning and purpose – we just have to find it!
