About me

You have landed on the most suitable page, if you are seeking a non-judgemental therapist, with the capacity to understand and relate to your personal issues.

Saidat is a ‘Humanistic Integrative Psychotherapist’ who draws on a variety of psychotherapeutic approaches to meet the need of the client.

He has a wealth of experience working with people from all walks of life, cultural backgrounds, religion and sexual orientation during his time providing therapies, commissioning health services and developing primary care GP services within the National Health Service (NHS).

His approach to psychotherapy is influenced by his own eventful and often challenging life experiences; which gives him deeper empathy and insight into people’ problems, past and present, and a greater understanding of why particular behaviours are adopted and used as coping mechanisms.

Saidat helps with addressing the dynamic, and feelings triggered through ethnic and cultural identity and integration, that include:

Religious, community and social pressures

The family dynamics – influence and effects

The cultural impact and divide/differences, integrating east and west

Mixed marriages/relationships – race, ethnicities, and religion

Arranged marriages, forced marriages, introductory marriages

Coercive bullying, domestic violence

Sexual identity, sexual dysfunctions, sexual intimacy, sexual fantasies, sex education

Sex addiction/compulsivity, porn, sex workers

Drugs and alcohol use/misuse

Saidat works with the notion that we are all born with an attachment to a relationship and that we all need relationships for our survival. The client-therapist relationship is the most fundamental part of the therapy that produces positive changes.

He includes goals and targets within his therapeutic model and as a way of measuring the client’s progress and outcomes, will demonstrate a direct and challenging approach. He believes that this style of engagement continues to build trust in the relationship and drives the development and improvement of the client’s health and well-being. This practice approach also provides a structure that helps to increase confidence and motivation to make significant life-changing decisions.
