About me

Taking the first step of your journey into personal therapy can feel overwhelming. You may ask yourself, why do I need to go to therapy or what can I gain from it? As people, we are often left alone with our own thoughts and feelings that we can struggle to understand.

Therapy provides a safe space for you to explore your thoughts, worries and feelings with the support of someone, working together to build awareness and empowerment within yourself.

I am an integrative counsellor, offering a holistic approach to therapy where I draw upon both the psychodynamic and humanistic theoretical styles. I believe that individually tailoring my way of working with each client honours their uniqueness and our therapeutic relationship.

I offer a non-judgemental, warm and safe space where clients can explore their ongoing difficulties. By identifying some of the underlying causes which are contributing to the way they are feeling presently, we can work together to enable the client to find healthier ways of relating to themselves and others; building a sense of awareness and empowerment from within.

I work both short term and long term, offering a flexible approach appropriate to a client’s needs.

I have worked with a range of presenting difficulties, including common mental problems such as depression and anxiety. I also have experience working with grief, bereavement and loss, relational difficulties, Autism, life transitions, low self-esteem, family issues, trauma and intergenerational trauma.
