About me

My name is Rumena and I am so glad you have taken the first step towards enhancing your wellbeing.

Life is full of transitions, hardships, ups and down and there will be times where you feel lost, empty or just stuck in a rut.  Sometimes the distress, pain and isolation caused by life’s challenges can feel too unbearable to face alone, or the journey to your destination too long or even unreachable.

Therapy is a gift to yourself to help you overcome life’s challenges on your journey of self-exploration and healing so you can be your best and most authentic self.  I can be your companion on that journey.

I am a BACP-registered therapist with a degree in my specialism of Integrative Counselling & Psychotherapy.  Over the years I have worked with clients presenting a wide range of issues including depression, anxiety, stress, relational conflicts, cross-cultural and identity issues, physical and emotional abuse and many more.

My therapeutic style is warm and interactive and I believe the therapy space should offer respect, compassion and sensitivity to everyone.  I will tailor the dialogue and treatment plan to meet your specific and unique needs whilst my approach will combine different methods including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Humanistic Therapy and Psycho-dynamic Therapy.

It is important to recognise that sometimes falling can be a new beginning too, but I know it takes courage and heart to seek help and take a step towards change.  If you are ready to take that next step, I am here to support and empower you.

I look forward to us working together!
