I specialize in treating adolescents and adults living with eating disorders, body image concerns, anxiety, and trauma. Given that our relationships with others and with ourselves are often at the core of these concerns, we will examine both in our work together. I have also witnessed how gender identity, sexuality, race, and culture can impact self-image, and strive to be an inclusive therapist who can help you explore these connections. I additionally work with clients who are experiencing generalized anxiety, life transitions, relationship concerns, and other stressors.
In our sessions we will focus on 1) building insight about what has contributed to your symptoms, and 2) identifying how you can move toward positive change. I will bring my training in cognitive behavioral therapy and dialectical behavior therapy to our sessions to help you make the changes you would like to see.
Whatever you are struggling with, it is important to remember that you are not alone. You are the expert in your story, and I am eager to provide a non-judgmental and empathetic place to tell all parts of that story. Please feel free to reach out for a consultation to discuss your therapy goals or my approach further.
