Richa Vashista (pronouns: she/they), MA Psychology (Clinical Training), is an integrative psychologist from India, contributing towards the mental health ecosystem over 9 years. Richa’s diverse perspective stems from working in both the public and private sector.
Richa works with Asian communities across the globe and offers individual therapy and relationship counseling, catering to monogamous and polyamorous clients. She provides supervision and holds monthly online spaces for mental health professionals, queer folks and people living with borderline personality. In addition to her clinical work, Richa partners with companies to support their mental health, diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives.
Richa uses a humanistic & person-centred approach, inspired by Carl Rogers’ philosophy that clients have the capacity to be their authentic selves. Their worldview is queer-affirmative, intersectional, and centred on social justice. Apart from using evidence-based practices, Richa draws from her lived experiences as a queer and neurodivergent individual. She has formal training in queer and trans* affirmative practice, trauma-informed practice & suicide first aid. They speak at national and international forums, advocating passionately for mental health care and LGBTQIA+ rights.
