About me

Hi, I graduated from Nova Southeastern University with a Graduate Degree, LMHC. I am a licensed Mental Health Counselor with 30 years of experience in Mental Health, providing therapy for individuals, couples, and families. I worked in various settings, including community mental health centers, residential treatment facilities, and private practice. I have helped adults of all ages deal with a wide range of problems, including; grief and loss, substance abuse, anger management, legal issues, family conflict, anger management issues, parenting issues, life transitions, depression, anxiety, stress management, behavioral issues, relationship issues, trauma, women’s issues, marital and premarital counseling, divorce, mood disorders, PTSD, personality disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorders, sexual abuse, self-esteem, eating disorders.

I use CBT which is based on the idea that negative thoughts and beliefs can lead to negative emotions and behaviors. CBT typically involves a structured and collaborative approach between the therapist and the client. I help clients identify negative thoughts and beliefs and work with them to develop new, more realistic ways of thinking. I may also encourage my clients to engage in activities that are enjoyable or meaningful to them, as a way of promoting positive emotions and behaviors. One of the key features of CBT is its focus on homework assignments, which are designed to help clients practice new skills and behaviors outside of therapy sessions. This helps to reinforce the skills learned in therapy and improve the client’s overall functioning.

I typically work with clients who struggle with anxiety, depression, OCD, grief, divorce, career issues, relationship issues, sexual abuse, mood disorders, and various other concerns.
