About me

Reaching out can feel daunting. As someone who has experienced personal therapy, I know the feeling well. Whatever you are going through at the moment, you do not have to do it alone.

I am a qualified and compassionate psychotherapeutic counsellor with a wealth of experience, including developed during my several years practicing as a social worker and with a substance use service . I am currently running my own private counselling practice.

I work with adults on a one to one basis, offering a safe and none-judgmental space where you can access short-term counselling to long-term psychotherapeutic work.

Counselling tends to be a shorter-term process, focused on problem-solving around a specific issue. Psychotherapeutic work is a longer-term process, similar to separating out the ingredients of a soup.

I offer a free initial half hour consultation over the telephone. During this, I will ask you questions including what has led you to making contact with me, and what is it you want to get out of the experience. This is also a chance for you to ask me anything you need to, maybe about me, the therapy approach I use, and/or about the therapy experience.

There are a few possible outcomes after the consultation; either we decide we are not well suited to work together and for you to try someone else, or we continue and you book a session with me. Thereafter, my fees are £40 for a 1 hour session (whether via telephone, online or in-person).

*In the current global circumstances, I am offering online and telephone sessions only. If you do not consider yourself tech ‘savvy’, be assured the platform I use to do online work is easy to use, safe and I will offer support in navigating it. Once it is sufficiently safe to do in-person work, I will  be available in the Oldbury and Bromsgrove areas*

I am here and ready to help you.
