For many South Asians, taking care of yourself can feel complicated. Family responsibilities, cultural values, relationships, setting boundaries, and the expectation to keep going regardless of how you feel can make it difficult to slow down and ask yourself: What do I actually need or want? Or perhaps you feel stuck trying to navigate two worlds: one where you’re not “white enough,” and another where you’re not “brown enough.”
I’m Ravina Sangha, a Registered Social Worker (MSW) with over a decade of experience providing trauma informed therapy. Through my work, I’ve seen how often South Asian individuals struggle with feelings of judgment, rejection, isolation, and sometimes, simply not knowing what step to take next. I’m committed to helping you address life’s challenges, navigate multigenerational relationships, manage difficult emotions, work through past experiences, while honouring your values and making space for your own healing, needs, and identity.
My approach incorporates somatic based therapy to help bridge the connection between your mind and body, alongside practical, evidence-based approaches. I specialize in:
- Chronic pain & nervous system regulation
- Treating trauma symptoms from motor vehicle collisions
- Anxiety, depression & stress
- Emotional regulation & coping
- Relationship, family & parenting struggles
- Postpartum difficulties & adjustment
- Grief & loss
- Identity & cultural challenges
- Boundaries & self confidence
- Life transitions
