About me

Whether you have landed here because you are seeking support for the first time, or you are embarking on a new chapter of your healing, the first steps in finding a new therapist come with many different thoughts and feelings. Often, the experience can be accompanied by uncertainty of what to expect, perhaps some fear or anxiousness, and even some excitement or curiosity about what you might uncover. Whatever your experience may be, I want to commend you for showing up for yourself in this way and acknowledge the courage it has taken to get here.

I am Registered Clinical Counsellor with the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors. I hold a Master of Arts Degree in Counselling Psychology from Adler University as well as a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from the University of British Columbia. I am passionate about continually expanding my knowledge and expertise through additional training and professional development. For the last 6 years, I have had the privilege of working in therapeutic roles and supporting a wide range of folks struggling with a variety of challenges in their lives.

While my training and education is an important piece of my practice, I center the importance of human connection before any skills or techniques. I am a therapist, but I am also a human. My lived experience, compassionate nature and the quirks that make me uniquely me are invited into the therapy space to meet the authentic and vulnerable parts of self that my clients are so courageously bringing into our work. I strive to create a safe space where you can feel deeply seen, heard, and empowered to heal.

Finding a clinician that fits with who you are and what you need is the most important piece of any type of therapeutic work; and let’s be honest, browsing all the different websites and trying to decide who might work for you can be a very overwhelming process. That’s why I offer a complimentary 20-minute phone consultation for you to decide if working with me is the best fit for you. It’s an opportunity for you to express your needs and hopes for therapy, get to know more about me and my approach, and ask me any questions you may have. If we are a fit, great! If not, no pressure. I’m happy to support you by making recommendations for other therapists who may be a better fit for what you’re looking for.
