Hello there, thank you for reading my profile.
I am a Registered Psychotherapist, Art Therapist, public speaker, facilitator, clinical supervisor, board member, and founder of Art as Therapy, a community based therapy practice. I have worked with children, teens, adults and parents for 23 years and I am deeply passionate about supporting my clients to tap into their innate creativity. I believe my clients, who are the experts on their lives, have what it takes to manage and overcome even the most difficult of life’s challenges. I use a strength-based, neurobiological, relational psychotherapy approach in my work. I also support organizations with system change work by offering diversity, equity and cultural humility workshops and trainings.
I use an anti-racist, anti-oppressive, cultural humility, trauma and attachment informed lens in my work with clients. I engage in continuous self-reflection to disrupt my own deeply held biases to ensure I can provide a safe space for my clients to talk about their experiences. Outside the therapy room, I actively engage in system change work by deeply listening to my clients, advocating for on their behalf (with permission) and provide organizations with cultural humility and equity workshops and trainings.
In my spare time I like to volunteer for grass roots organizations, paint, read, hike, clean and spend quality time in relationships.
