About me

I am a trained psychotherapist who received my Master of Science in Advanced Clinical Social Work from Columbia University on a health, mental health, and disabilities track. I approach psychotherapy with a mix of active listening and observations creating a brave space where you can be sure you will be heard. Post graduation, I worked in a variety of settings with a diverse range of clients including those struggling with grief, complex family situations, and relationship struggles. I have a special interest in working with the South Asian and BIPOC population.

I have specific training in: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Complicated/Prolonged Grief Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Mindfulness and Trauma Informed practices. I gained experience and comfort working with those experiencing chronic and terminal illnesses during my internship and fellowship.

I have always been drawn to the stories of individuals- what makes us who we are. That innate curiosity along with my desire to help others, and to reduce mental health stigma inspired me to become a therapist.
