About me

I am an Indian clinician, who grew up in Kenya and lived briefly in the UK before moving to Australia. I acknowledge that diverse cultural and social factors can impact one’s experiences, and I’m dedicated to providing a non-judgmental space for you to understand and balance these dynamics in line with your goals.

South Asian culture can be beautiful and at the same time have certain impacts that can lead to difficulty navigating the world as we know it now. Our childhood homes, our schools, our teachers, our traditions and friends all have an impact on how we learn to view ourselves and the world around us. These impacts are usually instilled early on in our lives and they bury into our subconscious mind, becoming an invisible guide that impacts what we do & how we live.

I am passionate about helping you understand the impact that your life and experiences may have had on you, and how to navigate life with this information in line with what YOU find important. I can help you to figure out how to see yourself in a fair, healthy light and how to set boundaries with others that respect yourself AND your culture.

In our work together, you are the guide. You decide whether you are interested in understand the impact of your past on who you are now, and then you decide what you want us to do with that information together. I will support you to hold this information gently and non-judgmentally to chart your unique path forward and reconnect with life in ways that brings you fulfillment and satisfaction.

I can help you to:

  • Understand how to manage your relationships with important people in your life whilst navigating the expectations of your culture.
  • Respectfully set boundaries with your family and friends
  • Break away from negative self-talk and criticism to build a healthier relationship with yourself
  • Process any experiences that may have contributed to a negative view of yourself, or unrealistic expectations of yourself leading to stress and burnout

Starting therapy can be daunting, and I understand that. I am here to help and will work with you at your own pace to achieve a life that is fulfilling for you. To help you make an informed decision, I offer a free 15-minute phone/video call introduction before committing to therapy. Let’s see if we’re a good fit!
