With dual Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Criminal Justice from the University of North Florida and a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the CACREP (Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs) Accredited University of Texas-Tyler, I have a diverse range of experience supporting clients in both the nonprofit and private sectors.
As a first generation Indian-American, I have deep insight in areas anxiety, self-compassion/self-love, boundary setting, and sense of belonging (especially between two different cultures). My background as provided me with the ability to connect with others through empathy, communication, and understanding. Through my experiences, both personal and professional, I have found I connect most with woman and young adults/adolescents.
I strongly believe it is important to have a genuine connection within the therapeutic relationship. It’s essential to me that my clients get personalized therapy in order to best help them. Rather than do things the traditional way, I’ve created a system designed around my client’s needs. My therapeutic approach is a combination of relational and integrative approach when working with my clients. Through rapport building and unconditional positive regard, I hope to help you in your journey.
