About me

I have been supporting youth, young adults, adults and their families through significant mental health challenges for 15 years. I work from an integrative, recovery-oriented framework and am trained in CBT, DBT, Mindfulness approaches and Emotion-Focused Family Therapy. I believe all people have the capacity to recover and heal from mental illness with the right support for them. My approach is client led: I work as a partner alongside you

I am also experienced in working from a social justice perspective and recognise the role that oppression plays in shaping people and communities.  Relationships and our historical experiences, both our individual and our collective communal histories, shape who we are in each now moment.  Healing the hurts and patterns of being that have become a block to who we wish to be is where I can assist as a therapist.  I have witnessed many youth and families experiencing darkness, despair and deep hopelessness begin to heal with consistency and support. We all have the capacity to heal and become what we may have initially imagined was an impossible dream.

I bring my training, experience, character and personality in the room. We meet as humans, with me guiding and supporting you to access your innate ability to heal so that you can experience more joy, more love and more beauty in your life, relationships and community.  I am an affiliate counsellor with Jennifer Michaud & Associates INC. We feel honoured to provide a welcoming, safe and healing space for clients.
