About me

Nirja understands the therapeutic work to be collaborative & believes in intently listening to the individual’s perspectives, and works from a warm, empathetic and relational approach in the sessions. She integrates therapeutic elements of Relational-Psychodynamic theory and incorporates DBT and Mindfulness interventions, tailoring the therapeutic sessions to the individual’s needs.

Nirja has experience working with adults in individual/couple counseling at private practice and non-profit organizations. She operates from a culturally-sensitive perspective & her clinical interests and experience lie in exploring cultural identities, adjustment issues, relationship struggles, familial and/or generational trauma, anxiety, and depression.
