About me

Hello, and welcome to my practice! I am a queer, South Asian psychotherapist based in Oakland, CA.  As a therapist, I can be with you through the messy parts of life, as well as the joyful parts. Our work together can help you feel more grounded, whole, and in alignment with yourself, with better boundaries, more self-confidence, and healthier, more secure relationships. Additionally, as a queer and South Asian person, I have a nuanced understanding of identity and the impact of systems on our lived realities. I know what it feels like to live and search for self within multiple communities and to struggle between wanting to please others and wanting to express your authentic self.

In therapy, my approach is warm, non-judgmental, and reflective. I am an active therapist who will ask you questions, share my observations and interpretations, and utilize and teach techniques, tools, and exercises tailored to your unique goals and concerns. I’ll invite you to slow down with me so that we can allow things to emerge that don’t have the space to when we are busy or distracted. My goal is to help you connect with your own inner authority and sense of truth. I love to support people in navigating sense of self, identity, career, family of origin issues, trauma, gender & sexuality, life changes, relationships, and intimacy, to name a few. The frameworks I use are relational, somatic, behavioral, internal family systems, and insight-oriented.

I am here to accept all parts of you, challenge you when necessary, and help you connect to your own innate wisdom. I welcome you to visit my website (link on the left) to learn more about my approach, or email me to schedule a complimentary consult to see if we’re a good fit. I look forward to the possibility of working together!
