About me

Hello there! I’m Neha, a therapist based out of Chicago. I’ve learned to navigate a number of contexts with the many intersectional identities I hold (South Asian, queer, daughter of immigrants just to name a few), and the difficulties that may come with it. Navigating the number of identities we hold amongst the systems we live in is never an easy task and one that I’m eager to help folks with. I also know what it feels like to feel alone juggling different identities, expectations, and pressures and feeling like you need to figure everything out… especially alone. I hope to support you, whether it’s through some brainstorming or just holding the space for when the world, internal and/or external, feels overwhelming.

I practice with collaboration in mind. I will never assume to be the expert in the room but someone who can hold a space that is nonjudgemental, safe, warm, and genuine. I may even throw a little humor in there every now and then. My approach is fairly eclectic, based in psychodynamic, humanistic and relational theory. I do round it out with DBT, CBT, motivational interviewing, and solution focused interventions to tailor my approach to folks’ unique needs.

My clinical interests include but are not exclusive to perfectionism, neurodivergence, life transitions, BIPOC mental health, LGBTQ+ mental health, high achievers, family of origin, and relationship dynamics. I also have extensive experience working with emerging adults and college students.

If you think we may be a good fit or even if you’re just curious, feel free to reach out!
