About me

Hi, my name is Navneet Thind, and I am a licensed Psychologist based in Northern California. While I welcome working with all ages, my focus lies in working with adolescents and emerging adults (18-30). I specialize in mood disorders, Autism, ADHD, anxiety, relational concerns, and psychological sequelae following chronic pain or chronic health conditions. I use a range of therapeutic approaches based on each client’s unique needs.

I believe that each client has different needs and tailor my approach to the client. Most of the time I find that working with a combination of therapeutic approaches is helpful. I may use an attachment and/or biopsychosocial approach to help me understand my client’s concerns better. In therapy, I may use a range of therapeutic modalities such as psychodynamic, client-centered, cognitive behavioral, behavioral, mindfulness, and internal family systems depending on my client’s needs.

I am most experienced in doing therapy and assessment with young children (and their parents), adolescents, and emerging adults (18-30). Clients looking for a greater understanding of themselves and needing support navigating social, relational, familial, cultural/racial issues and general transition to adulthood or “adulting” may find my approach helpful. I may be a fit for clients who identify as neurodivergent or as having mood disorders, Autism, ADHD, and anxiety disorders and need support with coping, validation, or authentic expression of themselves. More recently, as a long hauler (post-COVID) myself, I am passionate about supporting clients of all ages also experiencing symptoms post-COVID.
