About me

*Accepting new clients*

My goal is to create a compassionate, collaborative space where you can heal and grow on your own terms. I support individuals navigating anxiety, depression, OCD, professional burnout, interpersonal challenges, or feeling stuck in life. I often work with adult children of immigrants and people of color, as well as professionals navigating high-stress work environments. We will work together to understand your experiences, strengthen your resilience, and build a fulfilling life rooted in your values.

As a daughter of immigrants from apartheid South Africa (Indian Muslim) and Yemen, I understand the complexities of navigating multiple identities and the unique challenges facing marginalized communities in the United States. I have experience working with clients from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds and am committed to practicing through an anti-oppressive, culturally responsive, and trauma-informed lens.

I combine relational therapy with evidence-based approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). My approach is collaborative, warm, and empathetic. I would be honored to support you.

I offer virtual or in-person sessions in Brooklyn Heights and Midtown Manhattan. I also practice virtually in New Jersey and Maryland. I’m looking forward to meeting you.
