About me

Hi! I’m Munisa! As a first-generation South Asian American woman, my intersecting identities have strengthened my understanding of conversations surrounding mental health in individuals from similar backgrounds. I have an awareness of the diverse cultural norms and values in the South Asian diaspora. I also recognize the importance of the integration of one’s background in therapy and am passionate about addressing stigmas of mental health.

My goal is to provide a safe, empathetic, non-judgmental, and collaborative environment for you to explore your experiences, learn new skills, and celebrate your strengths. I have experience working with adults from multicultural backgrounds with anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, grief, and trauma. I would be excited to walk through this journey with you!
