About me

Hello, I am Mitali Soni and I provide online counselling through telephone and Zoom to ensure our sessions together are accessible.

I am an integrative counsellor, who is interested in the unique experiences of people from a variety of ethnic and cultural backgrounds. I have worked extensively with those from South Asian cultural backgrounds of different ages and gender identities.

As a counsellor I use a number of different approaches to help you gain insight into your issues. In particular I use elements of CBT, Person-centred approaches and Behaviour Therapy. I often use metaphors to help explore what is happening for you.

I provide a warm, non-judgemental, and safe space to help you explore the challenges affecting your day-to-day activities. I put my clients at the centre of what I do and help you find new understanding and meaning; working together to help understand and change the difficulties you may be experiencing.

People who come to see me are those who maybe struggling with difficulties around low self-esteem, depression, body image, sexuality exploration, gender issues, history of domestic or childhood abuse and variations of trauma. This is not an exhaustive list, and you can always reach out to see how we might be able to work together with your specific life story and experiences.
