About me

Are you struggling to feel fulfilled in life? Does waking up and functioning day to day seem unnecessarily difficult? Are you experiencing symptoms of anxiety or depression, or the lasting effects of grief or trauma? Therapy can help.

I am a Columbia University trained, culturally competent therapist who is trained in Trauma Focused-CBT, DBT, EMDR, Psychodynamic therapy, the Gottman method and EFT for couples therapy. I tailor unique plans for each individual client or couple in order to empower them to better understand themselves, achieve their goals and feel more fulfilled. My work is built on trauma informed cultural competency and understanding the many barriers to care specific to minority communities.

Although Desi culture prioritizes physical health, we rarely ever discuss mental health. This can make it so hard to have kindness and compassion for ourselves and/or our partner when we realize we’re struggling mentally or emotionally. You will enjoy working with me if you are seeking a compassionate therapist. I believe that you are worthy of all things that bring you happiness, and that you deserve to be treated with compassion.

I know that you are doing the best we can with the hand you were dealt. Healing from trauma and taking care of your mental health is an ongoing process, and I’d love the opportunity to be a part of your journey
