About me

Starting therapy takes courage, especially when life already feels overwhelming. Whether you’re navigating intense emotions, identity shifts, self-harm, grief, or simply trying to better understand yourself, you don’t have to go through it alone. I work collaboratively with clients to create a space where all parts of you are welcome, the ones you’re proud of, the ones that carry pain, and the ones you’re still trying to understand.

I deeply value being a compassionate, warm, and nonjudgmental companion on your journey toward emotional healing and self-understanding.
I specialize in supporting teens, emerging adults, and older adults experiencing anxiety, trauma, emotional dysregulation, racial and cultural identity concerns, self-harm, and suicidal ideation. I have a particular passion for working with individuals who feel isolated by their pain or have internalized shame. I meet each client with deep compassion and a steady presence, offering safety and understanding as we work together toward healing.

As a South Asian clinician raised within the rich context of Indian culture and Hindu spirituality, I understand how cultural, familial, and spiritual identities can profoundly shape emotional experiences. I bring an intersectional feminist and culturally responsive lens to therapy, honoring the complexities of your story while recognizing how systems and power dynamics impact mental health.

My clinical work is rooted in a trauma-informed, relational, and person-centered approach. I integrate Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), humanistic, feminist, and psychodynamic theories to meet your unique needs. Whether we’re building emotion regulation skills, exploring identity, or challenging long-held beliefs, we’ll work at a pace that feels right for you.

I hold a B.Sc. in Psychology and a Postgraduate Diploma in Advanced Studies and Research in Psychology from Ashoka University in India, and an M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Northwestern University. I also provide bilingual services in Hindi in person in Lakeview and in the Loop Location as well as virtually.
