Whatever your reasons may be, I am grateful that your journey brought you here today.
In your life, you are the expert. I aim to take that expertise and provide a space where you can challenge and confront yourself on beliefs that are no longer serving you.
My therapeutic focus is on relationship issues, anxiety, identity development, family of origin concerns, and transitional periods in life. My focus is on young adult and adult clients. My clinical experience comes from providing therapy in a private practice setting.
Life can get challenging and we all find comfort in connecting with others and receiving support. As your co-collaborator in therapy, I will accept you as you are and strive to provide you with unconditional positive regard in a safe, non-judgmental, empathetic space.
My ultimate hope is that you can see yourself as someone who is worthy of love and belonging, just as I do.
I provide an eclectic model of therapy, using a variety of theories.
My practice is ultimately guided by my understanding of larger societal structures that create systems of inequality and oppression. I aim to provide a comprehensive level of care that meets you where you are, financially, emotionally, and physically.
I bring much of myself into my work.
I received my undergraduate degree in Psychology from North Carolina State University and I soon realized that I had a passion for working with people and a need to understand why humans think and act the way we do. This desire led me to pursue my Master of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from North Carolina State University.
I am an Associate Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in the state of North Carolina, as well as a National Board Certified Counselor.
I am passionate about providing therapy and getting to the heart of human interaction. I nourish my spirit by connecting with family and friends, singing, reading a good book, snuggling with my dog, trying new foods & experiences with my partner, volunteering at various local organizations, and practicing the art of yoga.
