Think of me as a thought partner.
We all deserve a dedicated space in which we can take the time to truly understand our inner worlds with a caring thought partner. Based on your life experiences, cultural background, and goals, I will tailor therapy to meet your needs. Using a range of evidence-based techniques, I will work with you to help you see your thoughts more clearly and bring emotions to the surface. My aim is to help you accept thoughts and emotions without judgement and control how you deal with them.
I have a master’s degree from Teachers College, Columbia University, and I have experience working with adults dealing with anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues, relationship and family difficulties, life transitions, sexual behaviors, and substance use.
As a South Asian woman, I understand the stigma associated with seeking help in some cultures and the courage that it takes to change. My own experience has motivated me to understand and work with clients to heal their critical inner voices and help them gain resilience and balance. I look forward to creating a safe space with you and exploring healthy ways of coping.
I grew up in India, and have lived in the UK and the US, which gives me an integrated sense of the world. I am grateful and take pride in being a South Asian woman. Watching my plants grow, one leaf at a time is one of the most grounding ways of coping that I have experienced.
