About me

I was born and raised in multicultural societies all my life. Living in several different countries on 3 different continents (United Arab Emirates, Canada, Pakistan, Wales and England) has given me unique knowledge about culturally adapting therapy to many different settings and cultures. It has also taught me to understand and work with many different kinds of people. Therapeutic techniques created in the past have not taken into consideration the South Asian Diaspora and this is a gap I aim to fill.  Along with my private practice, I have done volunteer work with care-leavers and people who have suffered trauma. I have an MSc in Applied Clinical Psychology from the University of Bath and have also completed a BSc Honours in Psychology. I have worked in many different industries revolving around social interaction before entering Mental Health, which has further expanded my ability to understand and communicate with people from different walks of life. I have been involved with psychology for 8 years academically, career-wise and personally. I am also a classical guitarist and have played for Harlequins Rugby Club in Abu Dhabi. I have also completed personal training courses and have experience as a personal trainer. I believe good physical health is essential for good mental health and I can also help you create an exercise plan to support your therapeutic process. I plan on starting doctoral training next year and am comfortable with providing therapy in Urdu, Hindi, Punjabi and English.

Very Professional..Malik has been exceptionally understanding and honest, which has been quite refreshing and helped me take a new perspective on things. Takes time to listen and evaluate what I say and always follows up. He has been very flexible about timings. Also being able to communicate in my mother tongue has been a great advantage. All in all, experience has been highly rewarding.
    Highly recommended..

Very well mannered and professional. I have been receiving online therapy for a better part of 6 months from Mr. Rezzi and he has been very helpful and very attentive with his psychodynamic approach.
He has helped me deal with many underlining psychological issues that i had carried for many years and i was oblivious to such issues.
    10 out 10 would recommend
