About me

My curiosity about people, how life affects them, and how they feel about their experiences are some of the reasons why I am training as a counselling psychologist. I have discovered over the years that the way I have experienced life and the expectations I have had in life are different for each and every one of us. It is this that fascinates me about the human condition. My journey has not only been about learning to help others discover themselves, but also discover who I am and how I place myself in the world. It seems that all my professional and life experiences have led to where I am today.

Over the last twenty years I have worked as a secondary school teacher and a managerial leader and display planner in the food retail industry. Throughout this time the people I have worked with have encountered many life experiences that people face at different stages of life. I have been privileged to share this part of their life with them and at times coach and mentor them or be the listening ear that they need. These professions and life experience in general, have taught me about myself, about others and how we encounter each other and the world we live in.

My hope is that if you choose to attend therapy with me, we will stand side by side, to help you figure out this part of your journey, wherever you may be in life and however messy and disrupted it may feel for you.

I offer a comfortable, non-judgemental and supportive space where the work you do, is directed by you and at the pace that you want to work at.
