Have you ever wondered “what would my life be like if I didn’t feel this way?” Do you feel like something needs to change, but don’t know where to start? Perhaps the gratitude journals, self-help books and internet advice isn’t really cutting it anymore, and you feel stuck while others are moving forward with their lives. The good news- you’re not alone and you no longer have to suffer in silence. Finding the “right” therapist can be daunting, especially if this is your first time. I strive to be transparent and authentic with you. I understand struggle because I’ve struggled myself. I’m a real person. I’m here to help.
I believe that therapy should be bold, empowering, and straightforward. I value honesty and the courage it takes to create meaningful change, and aim to provide a non-judgmental space for you to explore the thoughts and feelings weighing you down. I’m passionate about making therapy inclusive, culturally sensitive and accessible to all. As an immigrant from myself, I have a particular interest in working with the South Asian community. I also understand the complex cultural dynamics, identity and intergenerational issues that stem from the interactions between two cultures, and can help you navigate it in a way that honors both your culture and your personal values.
My areas of speciality include working with young adults, adolescents, adults and families with issues pertaining to depression, stress, anxiety, life transitions, academic/career issues, cultural identity, grief, trauma, interpersonal relationships and family conflict.
Please call or email me for a free 15-minute consultation. I look forward to working with you!
