I currently offer online counselling sessions.
I’m a qualified person-centred counsellor working with adults and young people, and I offer a warm, non-judgemental space where you can come as you are. I understand that reaching out for support isn’t always easy, especially within South Asian communities where mental health can still feel misunderstood or difficult to talk about. I became a therapist because I wanted there to be more representation for us and to gently challenge the stigma that often surrounds seeking help.
I also understand the nuance within our culture, the unspoken expectations, the family dynamics, and the things that don’t always translate easily outside of it (like how your “auntie” isn’t always your actual auntie, but still holds a certain role in your life). These experiences matter, and they are welcomed and understood in our work together.
My approach is person-centred, which means the focus is entirely on you. I won’t tell you what to do or who to be. Instead, I work alongside you to explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences at your pace. Often, through this process, people begin to notice things within themselves that they hadn’t fully seen or trusted before. I believe you already hold the capacity for growth and understanding within you, my role is to support you in accessing that in a way that feels safe and meaningful.
I may also bring in creative elements, such as drawing, where it feels helpful. Sometimes putting things into images rather than words can open up new ways of understanding what’s going on internally.
